These savory cheeseburger sliders feature juicy beef patties, melted cheese, and a tangy secret sauce, perfect for quick meals, gatherings, and family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 slider buns, split (soft brioche recommended)
  • 6 slices sharp cheddar cheese (or favorite melting cheese)
  • Butter, for toasting buns
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: thinly sliced pickles, shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion

Instructions

  1. Prepare the secret sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, pickle juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Form the patties: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Gently mix with hands. Divide into 6 equal portions and shape into small, flat patties slightly larger than buns.
  3. Cook the patties: Heat skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook patties 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through (160°F internal temperature). In last minute, place cheese slice on each patty and cover to melt.
  4. Toast the buns: Butter insides of slider buns lightly. Toast on separate pan or griddle until golden brown and slightly crisp.
  5. Assemble sliders: Spread secret sauce on bottom half of each bun. Add cheesy patty and desired toppings. Cap with top bun.
  6. Warm in oven (optional): Place assembled sliders on baking sheet and warm in 350°F oven for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Do not overmix beef to keep patties tender. Make a small thumbprint in patties to prevent puffing. Toast buns with butter to prevent sogginess. Use cast iron skillet for best crust. For gluten-free, use gluten-free buns and check Worcestershire sauce ingredients. Vegan mayo and cheese can be used for dairy-free version.
