Refreshing Cherry Lime Vodka Spritzer

Refreshing Cherry Lime Vodka Spritzer - featured image

A light, bubbly summer cocktail combining muddled fresh cherries, lime juice, vodka, and club soda for a refreshing and easy-to-make spritzer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz (60 ml) vodka
  • 810 fresh cherries, pitted (or frozen, thawed)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) fresh lime juice (about 1 large lime)
  • 46 oz (120180 ml) chilled club soda
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) simple syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wedges and fresh cherries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse 8-10 fresh cherries and remove stems and pits carefully. If using frozen, thaw slightly and drain excess water.
  2. Place pitted cherries in a glass or cocktail shaker. Gently muddle to release juices without crushing pits.
  3. Add 1 oz fresh lime juice and 1/2 oz simple syrup if desired. Stir gently to combine and adjust sweetness to taste.
  4. Measure and pour 2 oz vodka into the glass. Stir again to blend flavors.
  5. Fill the glass with plenty of ice cubes to chill the mixture.
  6. Top with 4-6 oz chilled club soda. Stir lightly to combine without losing carbonation.
  7. Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim and a couple of whole cherries. Serve immediately.

Notes

Muddle cherries gently to avoid bitterness from pits. Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Keep club soda very cold and pour gently to preserve fizz. Large ice cubes help slow dilution. Adjust sweetness with simple syrup or omit for a low-sugar version.
