  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

  • 1 package (about 7 oz) graham crackers or digestive biscuits, crushed
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Optional garnish: fresh mint leaves
  • Optional garnish: white chocolate shavings or stars

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base by combining crushed graham crackers with melted butter in a medium bowl. Press the mixture into the bottom of a trifle dish and chill.
  2. Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  3. Whip chilled heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture to keep it light and airy.
  5. Layer the trifle starting with cheesecake filling over the crust.
  6. Add a layer of sliced strawberries for the red stripes.
  7. Add another layer of cheesecake filling over the strawberries.
  8. Scatter fresh blueberries over the white layer to mimic the flag’s blue field.
  9. Top with a final layer of cheesecake filling.
  10. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
  11. Garnish with fresh mint leaves or white chocolate stars before serving.
