A quick and easy white chocolate bark recipe featuring colorful confetti sprinkles and luxurious edible gold leaf shards, perfect for any celebration or casual treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz (340 g) white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
  • A few sheets edible gold leaf shards
  • 1/3 cup (50 g) confetti sprinkles (nonpareils or jimmies)
  • 1 tbsp (14 g) unsalted butter (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper and have sprinkles and gold leaf ready.
  2. Melt the white chocolate and butter (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second bursts on medium power, stirring frequently until smooth.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and spread evenly into a 1/4-inch (6 mm) thick rectangle using an offset spatula or back of a spoon.
  5. Sprinkle confetti sprinkles evenly over the chocolate, pressing gently to stick.
  6. Tear edible gold leaf into small shards and scatter on top carefully.
  7. Let the bark cool at room temperature for 15 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm.
  8. Break the set bark into irregular shards using a sharp knife or bench scraper.
  9. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

Melt white chocolate slowly in short bursts to avoid seizing. Use tweezers or clean dry hands to handle delicate gold leaf. Chill bark thoroughly for best snap and gold leaf integrity. Store in airtight container in a cool, dry place or refrigerator.
