  • 8 cups Captain Crunch cereal
  • 10 cups mini marshmallows
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your baking dish by lightly greasing it with butter or non-stick spray, or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter over low heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add 10 cups of mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir continuously until fully melted and smooth, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. If desired, stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  5. Remove the mixture from heat and immediately pour in 8 cups of Captain Crunch cereal. Stir gently but quickly to coat all the cereal.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press evenly using a greased spatula or lightly buttered hands. Avoid pressing too hard.
  7. If using sprinkles, scatter them over the top before the mixture sets.
  8. Let the treats cool and set for about 30 minutes. Once firm, slice into squares or rectangles and serve.
