  • 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (56g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • Chopped hazelnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease the baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar for about 1-2 minutes until pale and slightly thickened.
  3. Add the melted butter and Nutella to the egg mixture and stir gently until fully combined and smooth. Mix in vanilla extract and salt if using.
  4. Sift in the flour and fold it in gently with a spatula until no dry flour streaks remain. Avoid overmixing.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Tap the pan lightly on the counter to settle the batter evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, starting to check at 20 minutes by inserting a toothpick in the center. It should come out with a few moist crumbs but no wet batter.
  7. Cool in the pan on a rack for at least 30 minutes to set the brownies for clean cutting while keeping the gooey center.
