  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt (sea salt or kosher salt preferred)
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika, for sprinkling on top
  • Optional garnish: a few small capers or finely chopped chives

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry cucumbers thoroughly. Slice into ½-inch rounds using a sharp knife or mandoline.
  2. Lay cucumber slices on a clean kitchen towel or paper towels to absorb excess moisture. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. Soften cream cheese by leaving it at room temperature for about 30 minutes if not already softened.
  4. In a mixing bowl, add cream cheese, lemon juice, chopped dill, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Whip the mixture using an electric mixer or hand whisk on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until fluffy and smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.
