A quick and easy recipe for crispy toasted ravioli made in the air fryer, served with a homemade marinara dip. Perfect for snacks, appetizers, or entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2025 frozen ravioli (cheese or meat-filled)
  • Olive oil spray (or any neutral oil spray)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • For the marinara dip:
  • 1 cup canned crushed tomatoes (preferably San Marzano)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it warm up for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss 20-25 frozen ravioli with a light spray of olive oil.
  3. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and black pepper over the ravioli. Toss gently to coat evenly without breaking the ravioli.
  4. Arrange the ravioli in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding. Cook in batches if necessary.
  5. Air fry the ravioli for 8 minutes, then flip each ravioli carefully with tongs.
  6. Continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  7. While the ravioli cooks, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  8. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  9. Stir in 1 cup crushed tomatoes, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  10. Let the marinara simmer gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  11. Transfer toasted ravioli to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  12. Garnish marinara with fresh basil if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Preheat the air fryer for even crispiness. Toss ravioli with oil and seasoning before cooking, not after. Flip ravioli halfway through cooking for even browning. Cook in batches to avoid overcrowding. To keep ravioli crispy after cooking, serve immediately or keep warm on a wire rack in a low oven. Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-5 minutes. Marinara dip can be made ahead and flavors deepen when stored overnight.
