A mashup of churro-inspired cinnamon-sugar crust and creamy filling, perfect for parties or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Cinnamon sugar for dusting (optional)
  • Chocolate drizzle (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease your pie dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the melted butter, egg, and water, and mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Spread the churro dough evenly across the bottom and up the sides of the pie dish. Use your fingers or a spatula to smooth it out.
  4. Bake the crust for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
  5. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon, mixing until combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Spread the cream filling over the cooled crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours to allow the filling to set.
  9. Before serving, decorate with whipped cream, a dusting of cinnamon sugar, or a drizzle of melted chocolate.

Notes

Chill the pie for at least 2 hours to set the filling. Use room-temperature ingredients for smoother mixing. Customize the sweetness of the filling to your preference.
