🥧Meet the Baker

Hello, I’m Emma

Hi there! I’m Emma Baker (yes, that’s really my last name!), a passionate pie maker and recipe developer from the rolling hills of Vermont. For over 15 years, I’ve been perfecting the art of pie making, from flaky butter crusts to creative seasonal fillings. I believe that a perfectly baked pie has the magical ability to bring families together, create lasting memories, and turn any ordinary day into something special. Whether it’s a classic apple pie that reminds you of childhood or an innovative savory galette that surprises your dinner guests, I’m here to help you master the beautiful craft of pie making.

Pie Making Experience

🏡My Journey

My Story

Tasty Pie Recipes was born from the warm, flour-dusted kitchen of my childhood home in rural Vermont. Every weekend, I’d find myself standing on a wooden stool beside my grandmother Nana June, watching in fascination as she rolled out perfect circles of buttery dough and transformed simple fruits and vegetables into golden, bubbling masterpieces that filled our farmhouse with the most incredible aromas.

“Emma, dear, a pie made with love never fails to bring people together. It’s not just about the recipe—it’s about the heart you put into every fold of the crust.”

— Nana June

Nana June taught me that pies weren’t just desserts—they were edible expressions of love and creativity. She’d make savory chicken pot pies for Sunday dinners, delicate quiches for spring brunches, and rustic galettes filled with whatever vegetables were fresh from her garden.

When I moved to Burlington in 2009 to start my own family with my husband Jake, I found myself recreating those cherished recipes and developing new ones inspired by Vermont’s abundant orchards and farms. What began as weekend baking sessions for friends quickly evolved into a passionate pursuit when neighbors started requesting my pies for their special occasions and holiday gatherings.

By 2012, I realized that Nana June’s legacy deserved to be shared with pie lovers everywhere. Tasty Pie Recipes became my way of honoring her memory while helping other home bakers discover the joy, comfort, and connection that comes from creating something beautiful with your own two hands.
